What is GPS?
GPS stands for Global Positioning System. It is a US space based global satellite navigation system which provides reliable positioning, navigation and timing services to worldwide users in all 24 hours. It doesn't matter what is the weather a day or night, sunlight or rain it provides continuous positioning service.
GPS has become a widely used aid to navigation worldwide, map making, land surveying, etc. Even it is useful tool for scientific study of earthquakes and as a time synchronization source for cellular network protocols.
GPS system composed of satellites and they broadcast signals from space to GPS receiver which is a common gadget nowadays. Even modern mobile phones also comes with GPS facility.
